Welcome to 8 Minute Meals!

8 Minute Meals was founded in Tucson, AZ in November 2025 for the purposes of combining the provision of food and social enrichment of the unhoused population. Our mission is to alleviate food insecurity and social isolation by sharing meals and creating genuine human connection with individuals experiencing homelessness.So far, we have hosted 7 events and provided the unhoused population with 205 meals while hearing the stories of 54 Tucsonians facing homelessness.

How can you help?

Get Involved!

  • Volunteer at Distributions- Help prepare and share meals while engaging in meaningful conversation with our community members

  • Volunteer in Outreach- Support tabling, campus outreach, and event coordination to help grow our mission

  • Leadership Roles- Take on a board or leadership role and help guide the direction of a growing student-run nonprofit

Who can join?

  • Students of any major or year

  • No prior volunteer or leadership experience required

  • Anyone interested in community, service, and connection

  • Training will be provided for all leadership positions
